Timmy Thomas, Why Can't We Live Together, (Glades 1972)

Masterpiece of funk minimalism from Miami's Timmy Thomas, best known for his 1973 hit "Why Can't We Live Together." Naked soulful singing backed only by an early drum machine and a seemingly improvised, overdriven organ. These two tracks, probably the best on the LP, are also paired up on a 45 on Glades.
